Situated in Clark County, Henderson is the second largest city in Nevada, just 5 miles southeast of Las Vegas. Henderson is considered the fastest growing community in the Greater Las Vegas Valley, placing the total population at around 224,289.Considered as a gateway community into Southern Nevada, Henderson is renowned for its premiere residential communities and outstanding park facilities.

Prevention magazine tapped Henderson in 2007 as the sixth best walking city in America ahead of San Diego, California and just behind Seattle, Washington. (Henderson has more than 37 miles of trails.) In 2006, Money magazine ranked Henderson 20th in its annual list of the top 100 places to live in the U.S.

Minutes from the glitz of the Strip and just miles from the peacefulness of Mount Charleston, Henderson has a bird viewing preserve, the state’s largest outdoor amphitheater, and access to the largest manmade lake in the world. Lake Mead (created by the Hoover Dam), a mile from Henderson, consists of 500 miles of shoreline and offers great opportunities for boating, sailing, jet skiing, fishing, water skiing, camping and windsurfing.
