Why We Love New York

New York

Start spreading the news:  New York City has it all – and you’re going to want to be a part of it.

Why? New York City tops nearly every measure in the U.S. The largest city, the tallest buildings, the financial core, the fashion hub, the sports legacies, the Great White Way (Broadway), the heart of media, advertising, entertainment and publishing – and at its center, Central Park!

With more than 8 million people living in its five boroughs and nearly 50 million visitors per year, New York City is the most densely populated area in the U.S.  More than 800 languages are spoken here, making it the most diverse city in the world. Yet, this massive metropolis is made up of many manageable neighborhoods – each with its own distinctive vibe.

  • Eat: New York is a veritable smorgasbord of international cuisine, a nod to its immigrant history. It’s also home to some of the finest restaurants in the world, as well as more than 4000 mobile food vendors.  In one city block, you can feast on sumptuous haute cuisine – or a classic hot dog.
  • View: The city is also a feast for the eyes – from the beckoning Statue of Liberty, to the neon of Times Square, to the indelible Freedom Tower – while topnotch artwork graces the walls of its many awe-inspiring museums.
  • Wander: To truly get to know New York City, do what New Yorkers do:  Wander the neighborhoods, ride the subway, walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, jog in Central Park, explore the High Line, window shop on Fifth Avenue, grab a coffee, read the Daily News, people watch.

It’s easy to see why we (heart) New York.
